ELA TEST PREP ACTION PLAN

My goals for test prep is read faster and understand the key words.I'm going to read books that challenge me like for example TWILIGHT and specially time myself.The types of question that worries me is when they ask the definition of a word.I'm going to study more vocabulary words that was in the test last year and that I don't know to improve myself.If I study words that I know is a waste of time instead of studying something that I don't know.I could review character traits and easy stuff that I miss on the test.

"To My Parents:What I'v Learn so far in ELA

Dear Mom My biggest accomplish in ELA so far is to improve my reading to a higher level.My favorite unit so far is reading like when my teacher reads to the class to Kill A Mockingbird.In this part I improve my skills of listening.I read this book that become my favorite the name is Cirque Du Freak. It is very mysterious and I recommend every one to read it.This is the best book written for teens.


We used technology to pretend that we are in a time of racism.We write journals by pretending to be another person.This helps me to improve my skills of reading and writing.Reading by understanding a higher level book.Writing by looking at knew vocabulary words and then using them.My goals for the rest of the school year are to read more than 30 books.


Reading and writing is important to the future because it helps me improve myself.It makes have a great job.I could pass any tests in another schools.

Cirque Du Freak

This book is one of the best books I had read this year.Is extremely interesting for people my age.The description of each chapter makes you want to know what happens next.This book has a excellent description of every freak in the freak show.For example,the wolf man was very fury and he came out of the cage and bite a woman's hand.All her blood was pumping out and she was screaming for help.How did that make you feel?Darren found a lot that his best friend wanted to be a vampire.He stole a freaky poisoned spider from the freak show.The spiders name is Madam Octa and she bit his best friend.So,Steve his best friend is at the hospital but he is scared to tell the truth of what really happen!

Listening Passage Mona Lisa

One possible identity of Mona Lisa is that it was a portrait of Leonardo Device himself.For example,a man did a research of both pictures and compare them.He says ,"they look exactly the same".So that is what people think,that he draw himself as a woman.Is a mystery that it hasn't been solve.

MY OPINION

I wouldn't go next to a house that could be dangerous and risk my life.So I wouldn't do the same as Jem because I have a family and a mom that I love a lot.If he really cares of his family he wouldn't do that.If someone int he house caught him they could kill him.His friends could feel very guilty.So,nobody could say that Jam was a brave kid if he was dead.

Character Unit Intro

I think people change in some way or other. For example, I change my looks,my feelings and the ways I think about things. Every one changes, in a book ,in the real life ,from good to bad or from bad to good. Every one in my family changes the way they think. There was a lot of racism going on the 1930's,but now every one is treated equally and every one gets a long no matter what skin color they are.

Election Reflection

I'm speechless,I can't believe that I am going to say that I was thirteen years old when this happen.When someone asks me in the future what do I know about this important peace of history they are going to be surprised.When the people from this country choice Obama that meant that there was no racism in this country and people don't care about other peoples skin color. I think he will change and fix the country in every way little by little. I would like him to take care of the immigration issue because I don't want to see people that I love suffering anymore. I think he's a brave man and he wouldn't give up because he work a lot to be the president of the United States.I really hope this election helps everyone.This makes me want to think that anyone could be anything they want because if he is the president we could be important as him to.

Lived's Revenge

A jealousy night changed every thing! In Texas there was the nicest girl ever know.Her name was Lived. Her friends stared hating her because of that. So they become so jealousy they plan to make her life miserable. They took her trow the park all the way to a muddy water. She was not dumb but they told her a cat was bleeding and they needed her help to find the cat that run to the park.When she got there, her friends trow her to the water and they were waiting for her to come out and then take a picture for the year book. But she didn't came into midnight and she had no pulse. She was dead! Her friends buried her in the muddy water.But when it was 12 o'clock she came back and and scratch her friends door every night.Into her parents toad they were crazy and left from Texas forever. Some kids said her name backwards and she'll scratch there door rooms into they left Texas forever.

The tittle amazingly fits the story because is mostly about the Ficketts adopting Edgar Allan. About 3% of the story talks about his new family before he came. Then every thing else is about him and what his new family thinks about him. I don't agree with Mary Nell because she thinks that her parents shouldn't have adopted a kid with that skin color.For example: her words were,"why you adopted him instead of adopting a Mexican or a Chinese". That is being racist even do she say is not,he's a little kid she shouldn't say that. If I was the little kid I'll feel so sad and I woulnd't want to stay in that house. I'll think all the family hates me for starting problems. I'll maybe even runaway.What would you do?

The information in the box of A Day in the Life (of me!) helps me predict that the story would be about a day. For example,in the box they say A day meaning that she would write about one day in her life. She could write about what she does in one day. Obviously she's going to write about herself.

This book amazed me. It teaches me a lot more about cultures that I already knew.I couldn't believe in some cultures, the parents of someone that is thirteen would accept marriage. Aurelia was one of those girls that didn't want to marry at a young age. She believed in freedom and she wanted to keep her innocence.

She wouldn't follow her mother steps. Marry at the age of thirteen and then have a baby at the age of fourteen. For her it was like this: live her life and don't marry when she gets older. A man was saying that it could be time for her to lose hr innocence . She didn't mind what that man said because dad wouldn't happen to her. Julius a close friend of hers lost his tiger.So Cesar take him to jail in chains.What you think could happen if there is another sequence of this book?
